With little fanfare, Falcon arrives not long after, carrying a bag, and a scowl plastered on his face. He looks like he's been having a shitty day. He, too, glares at the repaired Diet Building. It softens a little as he looks over to Wolf and Rook, but doesn't quite go away.
"Hey," he says, dropping the bag to the ground. It contains a variety of things they can use to beat up the building, as well as some spraypaint. "Got here before me, hm?"
Maybe that pisses him off further- but he had some materials to get. It's fine. Whatever. For once, he's not completely naked; he's wearing a belt of sorts. Loops indicate it's mean to hold stuff- and indeed, he starts tucking some spraypaints into it.
"Take whatever you want, by the way," he tells the two as he grabs a hefty looking bat. "Didn't know if you'd be interested in any... extras, but figured I might as well give you the chance."
It's not like he can't cause destruction on his own (that's what he was made for, after all), but there's something satisfying about feeling weapons crack under his full strength, he's found.
That, and maybe he wants to spraypaint some... choice words on the remains once they're done. And on Shido's stuff. Drake inspired him, sue him.
Rookmon frowned, as he looked up at the older Goro's face. "I understand we may be only acquaintances, but are you alright?"
Wolf bent down to pick up a sledgehammer, hefting it for a moment. "Rookmon." The bird deflated, slightly, but nodded, dropping the subject. "I just didn't want to make you wait, that's all."
"Peachy," Falcon comments with a huff. He doesn't need Rookmon's concern, nor does he particularly appreciate it. At least Wolf seems to understand as much, face twitching into a wry smirk briefly, before he turns to the diet building, glaring.
What a fucking eyesore.
Without fanfare, he kicks in the front gate with such force that it goes flying into the columns of the building itself. He hefts the bat over his shoulder, and stalks forwards, fists clenched.
Wolf followed. Now didn't seem like a good time to talk, honestly. Instead, he opted for the simple expedient of throwing his hammer through the glass front doors, stooping down to pick it up again as he stepped through.
Falcon steps through the glass with little fanfare, glancing at Wolf. His face is still pulled into a tight frown. He looks away again, eyes falling on one of the many statues lining the halls.
Disgusting thing. He winds up his arm, and-
SMASH!
His bat splinters as the statue gets smashed to pieces, a snarl on his face the entire time. Then, for good measure, he smacks the already broken bat into the statue next to it, pulverizing both in the process. He kicks at one of the larger pieces, which goes flying through the hallway.
He's still fuming. He turns to Wolf and Rook once more.
"You know where."
Shido's office. He stalks off into the direction familiar to both of them, pulling out a crowbar from his bag as he does so.
Admittedly, this was a bit more manual, a bit less destructive than he would've liked- but there was at least a visceral satisfaction in putting a sledgehammer through a marble desktop as he passed.
The pair of them followed, however. They did, indeed, know where, very well.
As Falcon stalks through the hall, he kicks, smashes, and punches everything that stands in his ways, and everything he doesnt like. Statues go flying, pots get shattered to pieces, and doors get throw off their hinges. He's on a warpath, and it shows. He's vaguely aware of Rook and Wolf following behind him, but he's completely absorbed in his own anger. With every step he takes, he just gets more worked up, the events of the past few days running through his mind, combined with every feeling the Diet Building as a whole evokes, everything Shido and his people did to him, made him do. He speeds up, until he's broken into a full-on run.
When he finally makes his way into Shido's office, he punches the door so hard it splinters on the spot, not even getting a chance to inflict damage to the rest of the office. Steam rises from his vents, and his eyes are aglow with fury.
There's nobody here, of course. There is no cognitive Shido, and for a moment, Falcon wishes there were. If only so he could tear the thing to pieces, over and over.
"Here I fucking am!" he screams, smashing the crowbar into the liquor cabinet, and sending the bottles, glasses, and flutes fying, shattering them. Insults, curses, and other profanity tear from his throat as he wrecks the office, breaking everything in sight. He swipes everything from the desk with a rough swing, before dropping the crowbar, lifting the entire thing up with no effort, and throwing it through the window. The entire thing shatters, and the desk hits the ground with what should be a satisfying crunch, but he still feels so fucking empty. His shouts and scream echo through the entire building as he wrecks the office thoroughly. He barely notices Wolf and Rook anymore, only keeping enough wits about himself to not hurt them in his fury, but otherwise he's lost to his anger.
When all that's left off the office is bits of broken furniture, dust, and torn up wall, he takes out the can of spraypaint, just barely not crushing it under his own strength, and proceeds to crudely draw dicks and write profanities on the walls. When that is done, he throws the sprapyaint out of the window too for good measure, putting all his power behind it. It goes flying over the horizon.
The fury, the rock in his chassis lingers, and it's not enough, it's not fucking enough. It'll never be enough. He's still trembling with sheer anger as he takes in his own handiwork.
Anybody else would've probably been intimidated, or been tempted to back down under the face of such violence, but Wolf's expression was more... sulking, than scared.
"Yeah, it's not especially satisfying when it's just inanimate objects. Wish I could tear the bastard apart myself, but I get why there's no cognition of him around. Doesn't actually make me feel any better, though."
Work had started to grow quiet again- now that he had adhered to his other patients; leaving him with some free time to consider his other choices which weren't...as eventful as he had originally thought. His entire office was ready to listen to him at his beck and call- something he wasn't quite used to on his own accord- leaving him with his own thoughts.
How did he end up standing at the rooftop while he had been reminscing the events of today and tomorrow. If he was stuck here indefinitely, maybe his true escape was...
He looks down at the long harrowing asphalt pathway before him.
There's no way he could survive that.
But still- he couldn't wait for Sumi's response like a sitting duck. He needed to practise. He needed to...train.
You could try to jump- I will catch you.
"I can't have conversations with you like this in my head. It needs to come naturally to me," he purses his lips as he walks up to the edge. "If I can naturally traverse around this place properly- I could be safe." His hair whips in the air before his clothes suddenly manifest back to what he's used to. His white coat is fixed again, now waving in the wind. The office is only five stories tall- there was still a lot fo do. He needed to get better.
With that, he takes a deep breath and watches as a few tentacles envelope and hover over him while the others slowly tract down to the outside edge. He's hovering in the air like a spider with one hand on the wall before he takes a deep breath and-!
He jumps.
Air whips around him, wildly whooshing the lapels of his coat. Everything is so fast and he yells out a surprised- "WOAHHH-!" before a few tentacles manifest into a net by tying into the nearby trees and the overhanging ledges of his own building.
He takes a deep breath, realizing he was only a foot away from the asphalt ground; lying down on the full netted structure.
"Hn-!" he releases a heavy sigh as he stays there, lying down on his manifested structure to get some rest again.
Unfortunately, perhaps, this attempt was not unobserved. Standing a few feet away from where Maruki had nearly had a fatal fall, two figures stood frozen.
The first was obvious enough. Goro Akechi's face was younger, his body shorter, his clothes more casual and worn, face bearing the odd blemish that no amount of self-care could truly purge from a teenage boy's face- And his hand was caught in a gesture of pulling out his phone with the same air of unsheathing a sword, somehow.
The second was decidedly more avian, having already crossed half the distance between the boy and the falling man as though ready to catch him- which likely didn't make sense at all, given the creature was less than a meter in height.
In any case, seeing the stranger unharmed seemed to calm the pair of them, slightly, and they relaxed.
"That's a neat trick. Seems like a great way to break a leg, though."
There must be a way to go around this very intricate process of growing tentacles and making large complex structures for his safety. Maybe a part of him could absorb it maybe? Or use these little appendages as supports for his trajectory- though that would be difficult to pull off in practise.
Well, with his arm like this he's already draining his energy with getting it nature healed- he needs to fix up that mess as soon as he can. While his mind is already busy with the thought of living with such an ailment on a daily basis, he's suddenly spooked by a voice speaking to him.
A voice he was quite familiar with.
"Akechi-kun?" He turns to look at the source of the voice before his eyes widen at the manifestation of the large bird hovering before him. Oh great. He seems a lot younger though and perhaps even less polished- an interesting imagery of the supposed prince.
Akira’s wish.
"Erm- thanks!" he sheepishly answers about the cool trick. "I was just testing somethings...am I in your way?" He gestures his hand down a little as one of the tentacles slowly unwrap from the pole, now lowering down and retracting to the area behind him- clearing the path in the way.
"I see...well, I have already ran into a few of you here," he carefully observes him. His messy hair or the small freckles on his nose, what a stark difference to the polished Akechi on the headlines. "My name is Maruki...Doctor Maruki."
He's not sure if its nice to meet him just yet but he's eager enough to answer just the same. "We all have our rough days but its not the most surprising thing I have dealt with, believe me-"
He raises his head to carefully look at the bird who just spoke to him.
"The...the bird. Are you seriously talking to me? Am I losing it right now...?"
Maruki. That name had come up a lot in conversation, and while he'd done some digging on his end...
programmer working for one of Shido's shell companies, tokyo university graduate, double major in psychology and machine intelligence, dead fiance named rumi haradam, user id likely to be a match for him buried in EMMA's code as one of the lead devs-
There was the issue of timelines. He knew nothing about this man, other than that he was human, and therefore to be met with the baseline level of distrust saved for pretty much everyone else.
"He's not a bird. He's a Digimon."
"Though I suppose you could be forgiven for making the mistake. Apparently we aren't quite common around these parts. I haven't, in fact, actually encountered signs of any others since our arrival, which is a tremendous shame. I am called Rookmon, and while I don't believe you've met Goro, you appear to already know his name."
"What?" He's still confused and shocked as his gaze falls on the young man. "A...Digimon?"
Forgive the man for not being able to keep up with the recent events so while he can see the fact that he's completely sane and hearing a perfectly capable Digimon keeping conversation with him- its a bit strange for him to take the existence of the world he's in too seriously. "Ah, hello Rookmon...? Seems like neither of you recognize me, I suppose that's a good thing." his eyebrows raise as he carefully observes the creature before him. Its large blue eyes to the accents of red across its black feathers...
"Wait...did you say Digimon?!" He suddenly turns to look at Akechi again. His lips part in shock before it curls into a ghost of a smile. "I...I can't believe it." He chuckles with a gasp- "I- I used to play the game Digimon World when I was- so young-! I can't believe it!" He shakes his head as he still tries to grasp the concept of one of such beings coming to life, now sitting up and pushing himself off the net of tentacles manifested by his persona. He was about 11 to 12 years old when he got a PlayStation and even bought booster packs to expand his collection. "That and Pokemon...god those were my literal childhood..!"
That was... a lot. That was a lot to drop on his plate. "Yeah, well, nobody here's a video game character. Maybe someone from your timeline met a Digimon and made a game based off of it."
Rookmon, at least, seemed to like the admiring attention, inflating ever so slightly.
Goro, however, crossed his arms. "I've heard the name 'Maruki' once or twice. Should I recognize you?"
"I would love to see if the Digimon cards I have collected in my universe are real in yours." His brows lower down, now relaxing back to his usually surprised demeanour. Its still a little strange to witness a being like this and while he's still considering his next words- the young detective prince cuts him right through it.
"I...I don't know? I just came here," he looks down at his clothes as if unsure how to proceed. "I am hoping you aren't here to hurt me in any way. Or oh- are you here for therapy? I am a psychologist from this office."
Maruki couldn't help but let out a nervous chuckle, unoffended by Wolf's words as he shakes his head. "That's a terrible misconception I am afraid and while the fields of mental health are neglected- therapy is nothing like how you perceive it to be. It's simply rediscovering and learning more about yourself so one can erase invisible burdens and frustrations," he offers him a small smile and looks over at the elegant dark bird-like creature. "If nothing, you can walk away knowing more about yourself."
"Computers..?" he frowns as he carefully listens to the exchange between the young Akechi and Rookmon. "I believe you may have got the wrong guy here. I am pretty average with them."
Admittedly... Shido's dossier had mentioned that the man had studied psychology in university, before abruptly changing his mind. There'd been a dead fiancé in there as well, but for some reason... he felt like it would be a bad idea to bring it up.
"Weird. Not at all the weirdest shit that's happened here, though. Doesn't even rank in the top three quarters. Sorry, it's just that your name's listed on the dev team for an AI assistant that's fairly popular. Hence the confusion. That said... I don't think I'm interested. I know who I am."

I need to destroy something.

do you need to eat

And no. Food is rather meaningless to me. I won't begrudge you for eating around me, though.
I'll be in Chiyoda around 8.

Unfortunately, cognition had seen the previous damage done undone relatively quickly.
Goro scowled as he glared up at the Diet Building in all its glory, waiting for Falcon to arrive.
